General Scope of Responsibility:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is electrically and mechanically in standard working condition and safe to operate.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Follow all plant work and safety rules and adhere to safety protocols and regulations
  • Ensure all plant equipment is operational in a safe manner
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems
  • Fabricate machine parts as required
  • Operate lathes, drills, saws, welding equipment, and milling machine
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects and tasks and repair of equipment as necessary
  • Troubleshoot all machine process issues and diagnose problems
  • Document all maintenance activities and keep accurate records
  • Understand the purposes and functions of all machines in the plant
  • Properly housekeep the work area
  • Responsible for the proper and safe handling, labeling, and storage of all hazardous material and waste
  • Answer and respond to all necessary repair call-ins
  • Understand the workings and operation of all equipment computers
  • Work assigned work schedule and overtime as required
  • Follow all ISO/Quality Program Procedures/Instructions as required
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum (Must have to be considered for the position):

  • Work in awkward positions as necessary
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Must be able to accurately use a tape measure
  • Must have three to five (3-5) years previous job-related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Pass all entry level exams

Desired (Will provide job holder with added skill(s) to perform duties):

  • Possess well developed observation and attention to details skills
  • Able to concentrate continuously on a task
  • High school degree or G.E.D.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Able to concentrate continuously on a task
  • Basic understanding of computer equipment preferred
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.)
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be reliable and committed to being at work

Great Pay

  • Full time position earning up to $23.88+ (Depending on Experience and Advancement) that is paid weekly
  • Overtime is built into the schedule (40 hrs straight time and 8 hrs overtime one week and 24 hrs straight time and 12 hrs overtime the next week)
  • Potential pay increases every 90-days with good performance evaluations
  • Night shift premium of $1.50/hour
  • Perfect attendance bonus of up to $200/quarter (up to $800 extra dollars per year just for coming to work!)
  • $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days
  • Quarterly and annual bonus potential
  • Holiday pay – 8 hours plus double time if you work the holiday

Rotating 2/2/3 schedule where you only work 15 days per month

  • Work 15 days per month and earn full pay
  • 12-hour shifts –2 on/2 off, 2 on/3 off, 2 on/2 off, 3 on/2 off
  • Three-day weekend off every other week
  • Days off during the week
