Product Support Doesn’t End at Delivery

Recently, one of our customers faced a significant challenge when their film supply was offshored to Asia. This shift caused minimum order quantities to triple, dramatically increasing their annual volume requirements, cash flow, and complicating inventory management, delivery, and lead times. At the same time, the product itself presented unique demands—it was highly viscous and contained active ingredients that required a high-strength seal with excellent barrier protection.

Our team went to work identifying a solution that addressed both the product and operational challenges. Cadillac Products Packaging Company was able to supply material that was:

  • Available in smaller volumes that allowed for better inventory control and cash management
  • Capable of improved sealing performance with enhanced barrier properties

With the material selected and a ramp-up order delivered, everything appeared to be on track. However, once filling began, the customer encountered an unexpected issue – their specialized filling equipment required adjustments, and despite repeated attempts, the equipment manufacturer was unable to provide adequate technical support.

When we learned about the situation, we didn’t wait.

The very next day, we dispatched a team of experienced technicians to the customer’s facility to assess the issue firsthand and provide solutions. After evaluating the equipment and process, our team was able to recommend specific tweaks and adjustments that allowed the customer to resume filling and get product back into the pipeline quickly.

The immediate support was appreciated, but we didn’t stop there.

Following the visit, the customer received a documented report detailing how the equipment was set up, what changes were made, and additional actions that could be taken to reduce costs while improving overall efficiency. What started as a packaging material solution evolved into a deeper operational partnership.
